How to: Install Elastic Laces in Children's Shoes

Step 1: The Preparation

Make sure you have the elastic laces on hand

Step 2: Unpack

Remove the laces from their packaging

Step 3: Stringing

Start threading as you normally would

Step 4: Cross and Continue

Thread the laces crosswise through all the eyelets

Step 5: Stringing the end

Make sure the lace goes through the last eye

Step 6: Take the spinning capsule

This is the twist capsule through which the lace must be pulled

Step 7: Unscrew

Twist open the capsule

Step 8: Enter

Insert the lace's eyelet through one half of the opened capsule

Step 9: Positioning Capsules

Pull half of the capsule through until it reaches a good position

Step 10: Determine correct position

See what position the capsule should be by trying on the shoe

Step 11: Make the knot

Place a button where the capsule should reach

Step 12: Check fit

Be careful not to place the button too close to the shoe, as this will make the fit tighter than expected

Step 13: Cutting

Cut off the remaining lace that you no longer need

Step 14: Twist the capsule closed

Twist the capsule back together

Step 15: Twist the lace back

Since the lace now looks twisted, you can straighten the lace again while it is in the capsule. This will make the installation look a bit neater
